Introducing the Alupave Aluminium Decking Gutter Range

In many ways, the launch of Alupave® was a significant step forward for the aluminium decking market. Driven by its popularity, our R&D team has been working hard on refining the system further with new capabilities and innovation.

We are pleased to introduce the Alupave Decking gutter range - the next leap forward in aluminium decking.
With this latest evolution, Alupave decking is, without a doubt, one of the most versatile non-combustible decking systems available today. The main innovation highlights are:

    Fully Sealed and Positive Drainage
    Decking Gutter Connectors for Shapes
    Neat and Easy Installation
    Endstop Bars to Control Drainage
    Stylish Gutter End Caps

Why is Full Seal Decking a Gamechanger?
The lifespan of a decking board is only half of what infulences the lifespan of a deck. The other half is the subframe. No matter the subframe material, with a traditional decking board the rain soaks through, the moisture sits and then soaks into the subframe. Without the chance of direct sunlight reaching it, this moisture can sit here for a while, until it rots or warps.

full-seal aluminium decking board like Alupave eliminates all these damp challenges. By keeping rainwater above the deck, you significantly extend the lifespan of your decking installation.

What’s more, decking boards have developed over time with improvements in quality, however, even top-tier composite decking boards suffer from poor weathering. Timber decking also has big disadvantages. If you are investing in a decking board that will last over 30 years, then why should your joists not also last as long? The key to this is protecting your subframe from rain and weather.

Alupave non-combustible decking is manufactured with patented inbuilt drainage. This protects the subframe below, which is critical for a long lifespan and structural integrity over the years.

Read on to discover the unique feature Alupave® Decking Guttering provides and why it is a win-win for installers.

    Full Seal Aluminium Decking
As the first full seal decking system of its kind, Alupave offered installers a new way to create a positive drainage solution. The patented in-built drainage ensures the whole deck can channel all runoff water to a single exit drain. A single exit location means the ability to drain into existing drainage on the ground or at roof level.

The Alupave® gutter channels are fully sealed but also fully integrated to keep a smart external style. Once installed you would never know all the draining going on! A good aesthetic is important for projects to keep clients happy. Whether you are looking for aluminium balcony decking or decking for a terrace then Alupave may be the right choice for you.

Not only do you get all these great features but there’s versatility with the type of frame you use; Alupave can work with them all. An excellent choice for new installations onto new joists or existing steel beams.

    Hidden Decking Gutter Connectors
Small but essential. The Alupave Gutter Connectors provide the means to channel the gutter on a deck around a range of shapes. A handy straight joint connector ensures that the benefits of using decking gutters are available even on long decks, with no maximum length limit.

For corners, there are two options with an external connector or internal connector. Most aluminium decks will require at least two external corners for the draining edge. Internal corners give installers the ability to create L Shapes and outside veranda decks easily.

All the Alupave® connectors, no matter the direction, are designed to be kept out of sight! A simple slot fitting on the inside of the gutter system means they can be pushed into place and then hidden internally with a mitred corner or butt join.

    The Same Easy Decking Installation
With the Alupave internal or external connectors you can easily create a mitre corner for a neat finish. What’s more, the connectors are all hidden so are kept out of sight and out of mind. Use the external corners to direct drainage away from the front of your deck. This gives the deck a neat and seamless look.

When you are building a longer run of decking you can use our simple straight connectors. Two adjacent gutters are connected on the inside to make a seamless exterior appearance.

All gutter connectors for Alupave are simple to fit with a straightforward push fit. To install simply apply a little silicone to seal and push into place. It couldn’t be any easier.

    Endstop Bars for Controlling Drainage
Opposite the gutter end of your deck is the non-draining end which is an important part of the draining system. This end must be 100% sealed off. To do this you would use an Alupave Decking Endstop bar.

A large percentage of projects have a back or adjacent wall so there is where the Decking Endstop plays its part. Not only does it create an effective seal on the non-draining end of the deck but it also creates a clean straight edge along the wall.

We have manufactured the Endstop bars so that they share the same design and match seamlessly with the end of the decking boards. A simple push fit with a bit of sealant is all that is required to properly install them.

Do you always need a decking endstop? Yes, they are essential to controlling the flow of the drainage.

Gutter End Caps to Finish Off
They simply do what they say. The Alupave Decking End Caps are vital to complete a deck gutter and control the water drainage. More than that, the decking end caps create a neat finish and quality overall aesthetic.

We manufacture the Alupave Decking Gutter End Caps in both left-hand and right-hand variants. On the majority of deck installations, you would have an end cap on one end and the other open for drainage. Alternatively, you can have both ends sealed and cut an outlet into the gutter base to connect to existing drainage.

Like the rest of the decking system, Alupave End Caps are straightforward to install. Simply push fit and add a small bit of silicone if required.
