2022 is another year of huge R&D Investment at Clear Amber.

Already this year, despite the global pressures, we have released five game-changing innovations that further enhance the ranges to make installers' lives easier and support distributors' expansion.

In case you missed them, our latest innovations include the:

    - Snapa Top Wall Flashing

    - Snapa Super Ridge

    - Snapa Super Ridge End Cap

    - Alukap-XR Top Wall Flashing

    - Alukap-SS Top Wall Flashing

With more major launches planned for the coming months keep your eyes peeled for the next releases - some significant game changers are coming!

Meantime, we are excited to announce the release of our next two Alupave innovations: the Alupave Endstop Bar and the Alupave Gutter End Cap!

Both the Gutter End Cap and End Stop have been long requested by customs installing Alupave so are a great addition to save the workarounds installers currently have to do. Alupave Decking is growing in popularity fast due to end users looking for longer-lasting decking solutions and these two innovations make it easier for DIYers to install themselves if required!

Although designed for the simple task of finishing off a decking gutter at any non-draining end, the new Gutter End Cap has a sophisticated shape that is designed to be easy to install and create a strong seal. As with all Alupave components, the Gutter End Cap is manufactured from aluminium to give a quality finish at a crucial point of the gutter. Unlike plastic End Caps, the Alupave Gutter End Cap has an excellent life span and the aluminium ensures no cracks or splitting over time.

The Alupave Endstop bar has been created to help installers seal the back edge (top of the slope) of their decking and complete the full seal drainage system. With the trademark Alupave grip design, the Alupave End Stop Bar helps maintain a visually consistent finish with the grip running across the top and down the side flashing.

When installing aluminium decking, there are several different ways that a deck may terminate, whether cut into a wall, against a wall, up to a flat roof or open-sided, so the Alupave Endstop Bar is designed to be reversible! This reversible design means the Endstop can be flipped and installed with the side flashing going vertically upwards to create a flat surface to flash or seal against.

The Alupave Endstop Bar and Gutter End Cap are the first two in a line of new Alupave components that will be released over the coming months to give Alupave Decking greater flexibility for a wider range of projects and take the range to the next level.

Why is a decking endstop bar required to seal the edges of decking?

The best aluminium decking systems are full seal with inclusive drainage, meaning that any water drains away within the decking itself, keeping the substructure protected from the elements and increasing its lifespan. one of the essential parts of installing a full seal system is to ensure any exterior parts of the in-built drainage are connected or sealed off and so the decking Endstop Bar helps seal the back edge of the decking boards. The back edge would usually be the top of the slope or opposite the gutter edge of a deck.

By sealing the edge of a deck with endstop you can also install the endstop bar upside down to create an easy surface to flash against or seal against your back or side walls.

What do you need to install aluminium decking?

To install aluminium decking, commercially or domestically, you will need:

    - Alupave Aluminium Decking Boards

    - Alupave Aluminium Decking Gutter - used at the end of the decking boards, the bottom of the slope and may also be used on sides in some applications

    - Alupave Aluminium Endstop Bar - Used to seal the back or top edge of your decking boards. Again, may be used on the sides for some projects.

    - Alupave Gutter End Cap - to cap off non-draining ends of your gutter
